The appointment of the insurance giant Generali as the Official Insurance Partner of MotoGP™ has been announced. Generali gains further exposure across the championship and retains its Title Sponsorship of the Valencian Grand Prix.
Dorna Sports, official rights holders of the MotoGP™ World Championship, is pleased to announce the expanded partnership with Generali, which joins an elite group of other Official Sponsor of the series.
Generali will provide insurance services to Dorna for the entire MotoGP™ season, during which it will gain an increase in brand visibility in turns and on bridges at 10 Grand Prix from the total of 18 that will take place in 2013. And as in previous years, it will be the Title Sponsor of the final race in Valencia, giving it yet further global exposure.
Other recurrent appointments include golf, where Generali France is a partner of several Competitions (Generali Ladies Tour and Generali Golf Tour) as well as of national golf player Caroline Alfonso.
Together with the main professional events of the annual sporting calendar, the Group is committed to fostering a multitude of initiatives aimed at the young and the amateur which promote sports as lifestyle and offer opportunities of engagement and sharing of experiences and values.
The WTA is the global leader in women's professional sport with more than 2,500 players representing 92 nations competing for a record $118 million in prize money at the WTA's 54 events and four Grand Slams in 33 countries. Close to 5.4 million people attended women's tennis events in 2013 with millions more watching on television and digital channels around the world.

In addition the Group has traditionally consolidated its support of sailing over time. Assicurazioni Generali and BSI are currently a partner of an ambitious project by Giovanni Soldini aimed at challenging Oceanic records.
Generali France has renewed its sponsorship in sailing with the Generali boat and the skipper Nicolas Lunven. The promotion of long-standing annual regattas also continues: the Easter regatta in Croatia and Barcolana in Italy, the most popular Mediterranean sailing regatta held in the gulf of Trieste.

Considerable support is given to winter sports, both to seasonal events such as the Alpine Ski World Cup sponsored by Generali Austria since several years and to individual athletes such as Tina Maze in Slovenia, gold medal in the Alpine Skiing Women's Giant Slalom at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and Federica Brignone in Italy, in association with Banca Generali. Ice hockey is another discipline which sees the Group involved with the Czech Ice Hockey Extra League through Česká pojišťovna and in Croatia with the Croatian Ice Hockey Association.
